4 Blockbuster Films That Captivated Audiences and Built Legions of Die-Hard Fans!

Some movies are not for everyone, but they can relate with the other few and create massive cult followings. Here is a list of a few of them.

Selecting films that you think are underappreciated or underrated is one thing; keeping track of those that inspire religious fervor is another. Cult movies take a variety of forms, and sometimes there is a lot of discussion regarding their status, but sincere devotion seems to be the foundation.

Honestly, the only way to identify a cult film is if it has a huge following of fans who are eager to see it repeatedly. These people will sing the movie’s praises forever, regardless of how fantastic or terrible it is. And these are the movies we are here to talk about, those with fans who can quote the movies phrase by phrase and are aware of all the inside gags.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

We thought it’s only fair that this is the first cult movie we talk about since it quite possibly has some of the biggest cult followings ever. Fans are crazy about this musical horror film, and whenever there is a re-release, they really go all out for it, dressing up in extravagant outfits and singing along to all the numerous songs that are featured in the movie.

The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club was a huge hit in the 1980s when it was initially released, but it has since developed a cult following that includes individuals who were not even born then.

The storyline revolves around the unlikeliest of friends who have detention every Saturday together. Consider the stereotypes you experienced in high school, the popular girl, the joker, the nerd, the bad boy, and the quiet girl. Imagine them now dancing and sharing intimate moments, with one problem; they are unsure of how they will behave with each other on Monday.

The Room

The Room by Tommy Wiseau is undoubtedly among the most renowned cult films of all time. Wiseau always thought his film was going to be a big hit, from its stock photographs of spoons haphazardly arranged across his flat to a diagnosis of cancer that was never mentioned again. Although the content of this movie rapidly worsens, devoted viewers continue to watch it on repeat.

Kill Bill: Volume 1

This must be our favorite cult film ever. Directed by Quentin Tarantino, Kill Bill is without a doubt one of the greatest cult classics of all time, and the storyline revolves around ‘The Bride,’ who used to be a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and is being pursued on the morning of her wedding rehearsal.  What follows is a series of revenge The Bride takes after she awakens from a coma.

The movie is exaggerated, violent, and incorporates Japanese animation to break up parts of the plot, and it isn’t an average martial arts movie.

Wrap Up

That brings us to the end of our round-up of some of the best cult classics of all time. If we have missed your favorite cult movie, feel free to let us know in the comments.
